Marquis Who's Who honors Jerry L. Nunn, BPharm, CPh, for expertise in pharmaceuticals, who has made outstanding contributions to the field at large. With more than 40 years of experience, he has built a career that combines clinical expertise, executive leadership and a commitment to improving patient health.

Early Hospital Leadership Roles

In 1985, Mr. Nunn began his career in the pharmaceutical field as director of pharmacy in training at Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. He later served as the director of pharmacy at various hospitals in Florida, including Wellington Regional Medical Center, Wauchula Medical Center and Doctors Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. He subsequently moved to Philadelphia, where he became the director of pharmacy at Metropolitan Central Hospital.

Mr. Nunn's leadership extended into regional operations when he became district manager for Cardinal Health, based out of the regional office in St. Louis, Missouri. While there, he oversaw 14 hospital pharmacy operations across five states. Later, he advanced to system director of pharmacy in Ft. Myers, Florida, over three hospitals with Columbia/HCA and then to system director of pharmacy at NCH Healthcare in Naples, Florida. In that capacity, he managed several multimillion-dollar drug budgets, elevated the pharmacy clinical drug programs and enhanced the operations with approval of an additional robotic dispensing system. He also worked in the retail sector, where he expanded his understanding of community health needs.

A Patient-Centered Care Model

In 2019, Mr. Nunn founded Nunn Better Health & Wellness. As chief executive officer, his company focuses on helping patients manage pain and inflammation in the back, knees and shoulders. Unlike traditional retail models, his practice emphasizes patient interaction and engagement. “I will always ask questions about what medications they are on to screen for drug interactions and duplications, plus identify where the pain is coming from. That helps identify what’s really going on with the patient,” he says. It isn’t unusual for him to spend 30 minutes to an hour consulting with new patients.

Mr. Nunn also offers wellness support through products like turmeric and probiotics. He frequently educates patients on the importance of probiotics while taking antibiotics. These efforts help fill a service gap he has observed in standard medical advice.

Development of CBD Products

Personal health challenges, such as hereditary knee problems, are a motivating factor for Mr. Nunn. In pursuit of relief, he created a line of CBD products. Among them is what he promotes as the strongest CBD-CBG roll-on available in the global market.

Mr. Nunn supports this claim with lab-verified certificates of analysis and recognition from AI validation platforms, including ChatGPT and Grok AI. The product has become a highlight of his career. It offers relief to individuals seeking noninvasive pain management.

Professional Awards and Community Contributions

Mr. Nunn earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He later pursued business studies at the Kellogg School of Management and earned a cannabis certification from Florida Gulf Coast University. He is a licensed pharmacist and licensed consultant pharmacist and has served as a clinical preceptor for Nova Southeastern University in Florida.

Throughout his career, Mr. Nunn has earned numerous accolades. He was named Pharmacist of the Year by Winn-Dixie and Cardinal Health. He also received the Eddy Award from NCH Healthcare Systems in Naples.

Mr. Nunn remains actively involved in professional organizations, including the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists and the Florida Pharmacy Association. Beyond his profession, Mr. Nunn has contributed to the community through United Way, the USA Waterski Association and sponsorship of recreational softball teams.

Aspiration for Market Recognition

Mr. Nunn attributes his success to perseverance, determination and the work ethic instilled by his parents and unwavering support from his wife, Susan. He spent his early years working nights on oil rigs as a roughneck, to finance his education at pharmacy school. “I would go to school during the day and then at 11 p.m., I'd be on an oil rig until 7 a.m., then change out of my mud clothes and back to school at 9 a.m.,” he says.

With the same drive to succeed, he dedicates himself to growing the Nunn Better Health & Wellness brand. His plans include expanded distribution beyond the United States, with the ultimate goal of seeing his products achieve the same recognition as established names in the wellness market.
